Womens

Teams

The UNSW Hockey Club is located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney and welcomes female players of all skills and levels.

Our teams play across 2 competitions - Sydney Womens Hockey League (SWHL) and Sydney Eastern Hockey Association Women's competition (SEHA Women's).

Our top 4 women's teams compete in the Sydney Womens Hockey League - Metro 2, 3, 4 and 5 Divisions. This is the highest level of women's hockey in Sydney with games played at various venues, but mainly held at the Olympic Hockey Centre in Homebush. We also have 4 teams that compete in SEHA Women's with teams competing in Premier, 2, 3 and 4 Divisions with games held across Sydney including our home turf at Daceyville.

We currently provide a player pathway up to our high performance teams. Both competitions are competitive, social and very friendly.

Turf Training

All turf training is held on our synthetic water based turf at David Phillips Oval in Daceyville, Sydney.

Competition Dates

SWHL (Metro)

The Metro competition begins (Metro teams play mostly Sundays but the competition may include very infrequent Friday, Monday and Tuesday nights) in early April and finishes at the end of August with finals played in early September. The Metro competition runs slightly longer than the SEHA competition.

Sydney East Hockey Association (SEHA)

The SEHA competition starts in April and ends mid August (EDP plays Saturday afternoons while ED2–4 play mostly Sundays with some Saturday afternoons). Finals are played from mid August till the end of the month.
